Annual Automower Service
Just like the car, the Automower also requires an annual service that will be geared towards its longevity. The table below contains a checklist of points and actions to be taken when servicing the mower. Some of the checks must be carried out every three years while others must be done every year. This service can only be provided by an Authorized Automower Dealer like SmartDots. At SmartDots, we provide all services that are required for maintenance of the Automower.
Annual Service is usually done during the winter, when the mower is not in use. However, if the owner feels that the mower needs a service in the middle of the season, due to extensive use, then it may be a good idea to have it service twice a year, especially in areas where winters are relatively shorter and mowing season starts early.
What do I need to do if I want to get my mower serviced ?
If you want to drop off your mower for the annual service, then simply send an e-mail to support@smart-dots.com to schedule a drop off date/time. You can also avail our pick/up drop off service for an additional charge if you do not have the time to drop off the mower.
As part of the pick up/drop off service, SmartDots will execute the following tasks,
- Assess the charging base to ensure there are no breaks in the boundary wire - if break found, the customer will be notified and can request a repair service.
- Disconnect the boundary wire and guide wire from the charging base
- Unscrew the charging base
- Water Seal the exposed boundary wire connections so that they do not get moisture in them, while they are left open
- Pick up the mower and the charging base and bring them to SmartDots workshop
- After service is complete, we will schedule a drop off time with the customer
- During drop off, the charging base is installed back, all connections are made and the mower is tested to ensure proper operation.
- A new loop signal is generated each time the mower is dropped off.
